It takes Kylo months to break Rey and they both suffer for it. When it does happen Snoke has sent them to a deserted planet to think and train and feel. Rey suddenly goes and falls to her knees with a different look in her eyes and Kylo can only ask, "Tell me your sorry then. For everything you have put me through." and she hardly reacts at all.
