Three Sentence Ficathon 2016!

(Because one didn't seem to have started this year, and I admit to wanting very much to participate in one of these challenges!)
Presenting the Three Sentence Ficathon 2016!

The Steps:
1. Prompt the fandom/pairing/situation of your heart, preferably in the following format: fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence. .
2. Find a prompt by someone else (or heck, your own) that catches your interest.
3. Fill the prompt in no more than three sentences. (NB: This is really more of a guideline
4. Revel in reading the (hopefully large) amounts of fics thereby produced.
5. PROFIT!

Fill: Supernatural, Dean & Sam, The Secrets (and lies) We Tell

[personal profile] angenoir 2016-03-26 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Dean wishes - he wishes Sam was wired differently, some days; he wants Sam to understand, with a desperation he refuses to even admit to himself, that the lies, the secrets, all of it - it was for Sam's own good, it was for Sam that they took the time to keep his mind off the danger Dad went and faced every single day.

But Sam isn't wired differently - he worries, persistently, and takes it as betrayal when someone lies to him, and he just - he takes things so to heart.

It hurts Dean, deep inside, even as he keeps it casual, keeps it light, tries to play it off - it hurts to know Sam has lost trust in people a long time ago, underneath floppy hair and too bright eyes, too small a face, and that Dean contributed to that loss.

Fill

[personal profile] reeby10 2016-03-26 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Monroe doesn’t realize he’s doing it at first- whenever Nick is in the room he gravitates toward him, head turned to bare his neck without conscious thought, highly attuned to every movement and mood of the Grimm- and it takes an offhand comment from Hank before he even begins to think, begins to wonder what exactly is going on.

He takes some time to watch, to notice the things he’d been doing without knowing, and it doesn’t take long to realize what’s happening even though he’s fairly certain something like this shouldn’t be a thing; his wolf thinks Nick is his alpha even though he’s not even a Wesen, even though he’s a Grimm, and he’s been acting on instinct.

Nick thinks it’s hilarious when Monroe tells him, and Monroe might be offended if it weren’t for the way that Nick leans in and tenderly kisses the sensitive skin behind Monroe’s ear when he bares his neck for his alpha, this time in full recognition of what the move means for them both.

GUH

Okay, I ADORE this. I always like your fills but this one... something about it just GETS to me and I want a WHOLE FIC around this premise, I LOVE the dynamic you've written between them, it's just so tender and hot at the same time, and so very sweet, I just love it!!!

This is maybe my favorite thing you've ever written me. <3 <3 <3 :)

Written by the victors (Chronicles of Narnia)

[personal profile] syrena_of_the_lake 2016-03-27 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
In the dead world of Charn, she remained standing while her enemies turned to dust underfoot, and so she was the victor; conveniently, she was also the only one left to tell the tale.

In her brief sojourn into London, Jadis was satisfied at the grandeur of her every action in that young world -- what marvelous stories they would tell of her once she reigned once more!

But in Narnia, she discovered to her vexation that conquering the land did not raise her voice above all others; she was perpetually forced to chase after rumors, persecute legends, stoop to slaying shadows out of stories, always wondering whether the Lion of furtive tale and whispered song might be that first Storyteller, conjuror of worlds -- and the White Witch vowed to herself that somehow, she would have the last word.

Fill: Fairy Tail

[personal profile] seal_nonnie 2016-03-27 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
The newest girl - Levy, Makarov thought - tried to awkwardly back away from the rush of other children around her: Cana cheering, Mira and Erza fighting, Gray and Natsu half-wrestling, and Lisanna attempting to tell her that they weren't all insane.

She hadn't known about the Fairy Tail effect, what happened when you put so many damaged people together; they were all damaged, all a little bit scarred, but they were fighting to get better together.

The second someone joined was the last second they would be alone; Makarov was lost in thought as Levy laughed for what might have been the first time in years.

Every choice a splinter

[personal profile] syrena_of_the_lake 2016-03-28 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
There was a saying in Spanish -- he'd forgotten which whore he'd heard it from (or maybe it was Rackham; the man was always spouting out little bits of knowledge like a whale's blowhole) -- de tal palo tal astilla. Like father like son, only less abstract, something he could grasp and grip and feel the rough wood in his hand: from this stick, a like splinter; and though a splinter was not as strong as the stick, it was still a thing of its own, not heavy enough to bludgeon but surely sharp enough to blind the eye of an enemy -- or a father.

And so Charles Vane left his teacher on the sand in the sure knowledge that, having carved and shaped him in his own image, Blackbeard could blame no one but himself for whatever would follow.
