Presenting the Three Sentence Ficathon 2016!

The Steps:
1. Prompt the fandom/pairing/situation of your heart, preferably in the following format: fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence. .
2. Find a prompt by someone else (or heck, your own) that catches your interest.
3. Fill the prompt in no more than three sentences. (NB: This is really more of a guideline
4. Revel in reading the (hopefully large) amounts of fics thereby produced.
5. PROFIT!

Quirinus Quirrell, Lord Voldemort, Harry Potter

He had disapppointed his Lord deeply and he knew it; no matter how difficult the task was–how heavily guarded Gringotts is–he knew the Dark Lord would accept no excuses for why the Philosopher's Stone was not brought to him as he had asked.

"Fear not, Quirrell," the Dark Lord hissed in his high voice after watching his servant apologize fearfully before him, "I shall ensure you will have all the help you need next time I send you on a task."

As he carefully wrapped the turban around his head for the first time, gently covering his master's face, he finally recognized that it was not help Lord Voldemort had promised, but punishment for his failure.

This is interesting. I like the way you frame Voldemort's and Quirrel's relationship.

So deeply sad - you really make me feel for poor Quirrell.

But you're not supposed to feel bad for Quirrell! :-) Seriously though, I do wonder how much he actually feared Voldemort - is he more like Barty Crouch who would do absolutely anything for the Dark Lord, or maybe more like the Malfoys who truthfully were more concerned for themselves?

But he has felt so inadequate for all his life, and it was a hope of finally being good enough that drove him into joining Voldemort, and here he is devastatingly being not good enough again and forever. :( (So in that sense, more concerned for himself, I suppose. Poor man.)
